Bad Eating Habits That Prevent Weight Loss

Junk foods , Bad Eating Habits That Prevent Weight loss , Weight Gain
Many people develop bad eating habits that cause them to gain weight and sometimes making it more difficult to lose weight. Where do these habits come from? Although they may have our best interest in mind, our parents will sometimes plant the seeds for the habits to grow. It is not at all because they want you to gain weight; it's just what they learned from their parents.

Over a period of time these habits become routine. It is what you do every day. Are you sharing these same traits with your kids? Do you want your children to struggle with weigh issues? Let's change these bad eating habits today and make weight control easier to manage.

Bad Habits We Learn From Our Parents

Have you heard your parents say:

1. Don't eat that, save room for dinner! Great, thanks mom. Let's get really hungry before we eat so we will cram more fun in out stomachs. Not only can over eating be stressful on your body but we all know it can lead to weight gain.

2. Don't drink too much while eating, you will get too full to eat all of your food! Again mom and dad are teaching us to stuff ourselves with too much food.

3. You have to eat all of your food if you want dessert! Really, your reward for over eating is sugar? I don't think anyone would argue that this is highly unhealthy. No, teach your kids to eat small portions of all of their foods and then give them a small portion of dessert.

4. We are in a hurry, just grab a snack and let's go. Yes we do get in a rush most morning and unfortunately breakfast is sometimes the one task that we are willing to skip. A good breakfast is important. Sure you may not have much time in the morning but mornings are never a surprise. We have one every day. Make breakfast the night before so all you have to do is just warm it up in the morning.

5. Hurry up and eat. Rushing while eating is a bad idea for many reasons. But you will
continue to eat after you are full. It will take time for your stomach to send the signal to your brain that you are full.

6. Clean your plate! Please don't tell your kids this one. Instead teach them to stop when they feel full or satisfied. Just don't let them stop and to eat sweets.
